Overview

HashNova is an offline cryptographic hash generator and verifier developed by Abu Huzaifa and published on Google Play under the developer account of Hamid Lahmamsi. This Privacy Policy describes how the application handles your data.

HashNova does not collect, transmit, store, share, or process any personal information, user data, or usage data of any kind. The application operates entirely on your device without any network communication.

Information We Do Not Collect

HashNova does not collect any of the following:

Android Permissions

HashNova requests zero Android permissions. It does not declare any permission in its AndroidManifest that would allow access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, phone state, or network.

The only system capability used is writing to your clipboard when you tap the copy button. This is a standard Android UI action and does not require a declared permission. The clipboard content is never read or transmitted by the application.

Network Access

HashNova does not request the INTERNET permission. It is architecturally incapable of making any outbound network request. No data of any kind is ever sent to any server, third party, or external service.

The application functions fully without a network connection and will continue to work identically with no internet access.

How Hashing Works

All cryptographic operations are performed locally using the standard Java Security API built into the Android operating system. No external libraries or cloud services are used for hashing.

The following algorithms are supported:

Text you enter into the application exists only in your device's active memory while the application is running. It is not written to disk, logged, or retained after you close the app.

Third-Party Services

HashNova does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or tracking frameworks. There are no third parties involved in the operation of this application in any capacity.

Data Storage

HashNova does not write any user data to device storage. It does not create local databases, preference files containing input history, or any persistent records of the text you hash or the results you generate.

Application preferences such as display settings are stored locally on your device using Android's standard SharedPreferences mechanism and contain no personal or sensitive information.

Children's Privacy

HashNova does not collect any information from any user, including children. The application complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations by design, as it collects no data whatsoever.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL and the effective date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the application after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Given the nature of the application, any future version of this policy is expected to remain substantively identical, as the application is designed to operate without collecting any data.
